Speaking Drums

Eötvös' percussion concert Speaking Drums has long been part of the standard repertoire. A poem serves as the basis for each of the individual movements. The player recites the texts and imitates them on his drums. The result is a virtuoso dialog. Instrumentation:percussion solo and piano; Längst zählt Speaking Drums zum Standardrepertoire. Als Basis der einzelnen Sätze dient jeweils ein Gedicht. Der Spieler trägt die Texte vor und ahmt sie auf seinen Trommeln nach. Die vorliegende Ausgabe versteht sich als Einstudierungshilfe.
