Soft tissue considerations in Orthodontics

An important part of orthodontic treatment planning involves defining treatment objectives for the correction of malocclusions. This book reviews soft tissue changes with growth, soft tissue changes with treatment (effects of extraction and nonextraction therapy, headgear and functional appliances, protraction facemask, orthognathic surgery), and some aspects of the smile. Defining soft tissue treatment objectives helps the clinician to a treatment plan that will maximize the facial esthetic outcome.
