Konzepte des All-Over

With Concepts of All-Over, Museum Haus Konstruktiv presents a spectacular group exhibition celebrating the interplay of colors, shapes, light, and architecture. This is the final exhibition at the ewz-Unterwerk Selnau before the museum relocates to the Löwenbräukunst-Areal in spring 2025, and it serves as a tribute to the historic industrial building that has been our home for over two decades. Visitors can experience expansive works by Carlos Bunga, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Fritz Glarner, Ana Montiel, Reto Pulfer, Esther Stocker, and Christine Streuli.In art, the term All-Over describes a (painterly) principle of a more or less uniform, all-encompassing composition that can potentially extend beyond the boundaries of the picture plane. In the context of Haus Konstruktiv's nearly 40-year history, All-Over also refers to the end of a chapter: the museum's imminent departure from its long-standing location by the Sihl. With the exhibition title Concepts of All-Over, we deliberately play with this dual meaning: Everywhere! and All over!; Mit Konzepte des All-Over präsentiert das Museum Haus Konstruktiv eine fulminante Gruppenschau, die die Verbindung von Farben, Formen, Licht und Architektur feiert. Sie ist die letzte Ausstellung im ewz-Unterwerk Selnau, bevor das Museum im Frühjahr 2025 ins Löwenbräukunst-Areal umzieht, und sie ist eine Hommage an den historischen Industriebau, der für über zwei Jahrzehnte unser Zuhause war. Zu erleben sind raum-greifende Werke von Carlos Bunga, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Fritz Glarner, Ana Montiel, Reto Pulfer, Esther Stocker und Christine Streuli.In der Kunst beschreibt der Begriff des «All-Over» das (malerische) Prinzip einer mehr oder weniger einheitlich-flächendeckenden Gestaltung eines Bildträgers, die sich potenziell über dessen Begrenzungen hinaus fortsetzen lässt. Mit Blick auf die bald 40-jährige Geschichte des Haus Konstruktiv bezieht sich «All-Over» aber auch auf das Ende eines Kapitels: auf den nahenden Wegzug des Museums von seinem bisherigen Standort an der Sihl. Mit dem Ausstellungstitel Konzepte des All-Over spielen wir bewusst mit dieser Doppeldeutigkeit: Überall! und Alles vorbei!
