Syria Speaks

A unique anthology - the first book to provide a window into Syrian art and writing since the uprising.

17 out of 35 works are by Syrians living and working inside Syria.

Contains 104 images, mostly in colour, ranging from art works to cartoons, graffiti, a comic strip, photojournalism and posters.

Contributors include internationally renowned artists and writers, such as Ali Ferzat, Samar Yazbek, Khaled Khalifa and Robin Yassin-Kassab.

Editor Malu Halasa will be in the US on publication, with events being planned in New York and Washington DC.

Endorsements from musician Brian Eno and writer A.L. Kennedy.

The project has received funding from English Pen, the Prince Claus Fund for Culture and Development, Arts Council, England and CKU (Denmark).
