Highland Harvest

'Wonderful recipes, picturesque landscape photography, and plenty of inspiration from the Scottish autumn.' —ELLE

Journey from the lush autumn landscape of a Luxembourg farmhouse to the first frost that casts a fairytale-like spell over the Scottish Highlands in this cozy cookbook that offers both recipes and decor inspiration.

Autumn is in the air: the scent of ripe apples from the orchard, moss, and aromatic mushrooms from the forest. The rustling of golden autumn leaves sets the mood—the beloved harvest season begins. From the garden of a Luxembourg farmhouse, we create simple, comforting dishes. The air is filled with the aroma of pumpkin soup and fresh focaccia from the oven. We bake a leek quiche for a woodland picnic and the most delightful plum cake for afternoon tea. Deep red dahlias make for a stunning tablescape.

As winter approaches, we visit the vast landscapes of the Scottish Highlands—stopping by to chat with a historic tweed mercer, a legendary lodge, and a flower school. In the kitchen, we bake the first batch of delicate, crispy shortbread and top pavlovas with marinated pears. We create napkin rings from tweed and gift tags from pine needs, and know with certainty: the joy of winter is here!
