Alyssa Gold thinks she knows what her life is and is going to be: senior year with her best friend, then college, and then whatever life she can make for herself in the real world. She soon finds out, however, that nothing is as it seems. Her family has been lying to her. She can't trust anyone she always thought she could. Then, a mysterious stranger, Seely, turns the rest of her world upside down when he whisks her away to the world of Undead creatures and a secret organization that is sworn to fight against them.
