My Life as a Lemon Tree

The German band Fools Garden scored a worldwide hit in the mid-1990s with their pop song 'Lemon Tree'. For singer and songwriter Peter Freudenthaler, this opened the door to an extraordinary career. In his autobiography, he recounts his early days in a school band in Pforzheim, the origins of 'Lemon Tree', his sudden rise to fame, life on tour and his encounters with celebrities and fans worldwide. He continues to perform with Fools Garden and other musical projects, as well as writing his own songs.'I know exactly how most people imagine life as a 'pop star', but that's exactly why I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know what really goes on inside the heads of people in the spotlight. Many have been burned by their one big hit - Peter Freudenthaler has grown from it, and that's exactly what this book shows.'Kai WingenfelderFury in the Slaughterhouse'Peter Freudenthaler is someone who really has something to say. There are lots of great memories of familiar things and shared experiences. But there are also lots of new things, and that's what made it even clearer to me why I've liked Peter for so many years.'Hartmut EnglerPUR
