For                     \u003cem\u003eOther Voices, Other Rooms,\u003c\/em\u003e                     an extraordinary art-and-architecture project, curator Adam Szymczyk invited international artists to engage with the building's architecture and institutional context. The resulting works by Ross Birrell (Scotland, UK), Banu Cennetoglu (Turkey), Zehra Dogan (Kurdistan, Turkey), David Harding (Scotland, UK), Hiwa K (Germany, born in Kurdistan, Turkey), and Daniel Knorr (Germany, born in Romania) were on public display in the building in 2021, before the police moved in.                \u003c\/p\u003e          \u003cp\u003eOnly David Harding's contribution has remained as a permanent and publicly accessible artwork, a text installation that is now embedded in the concrete floor outside the building's main entrance. However, the entire process of the project was documented by Zurich-based photographer Melanie Hofmann. A selection of her shots is also permanently connected to the building in the shape of screen prints on interior walls. They bear witness to its past life and preserve the spaces of thought created by art.\u003c\/p\u003e          \u003cp\u003eThrough images and texts, this lavishly designed book offers insights into a unique art project that responds to the challenges and potential of art and building in a way that is as consistent as it is productive.\u003c\/p\u003e; \u003cp\u003e                    Bevor der 2021 fertiggestellte Neubau für die Stadtpolizei Zürich am Zürcher Mühleweg zum Haus der Polizei wurde, war es ein Haus der Kunst. Für das aussergewöhnliche Kunst-und-Bau-Projekt                     \u003cem\u003eOther Voices, Other Rooms\u003c\/em\u003e                     hat der Kurator Adam Szymczyk Kunstschaffende eingeladen, sich mit der Architektur des Zürcher Büros Penzel Valier und dem institutionellen Kontext des Baus auseinanderzusetzen. Die daraus entstandenen Werke von Ross Birrell, Banu Cennetoglu, Zehra Dogan, David Harding, Hiwa K und Daniel Knorr waren im November 2021 in einer temporären öffentlichen Ausstellung zu sehen.                \u003c\/p\u003e          \u003cp\u003eNach Ende der Ausstellung blieb einzig die Arbeit des schottischen Künstlers David Harding als materielles und öffentlich zugängliches Werk bestehen: Seine vorerst temporäre Textinstallation ist nun permanent im Betonboden vor dem Haupteingang des Gebäudes eingelassen. Der gesamte Prozess des Projektes wurde jedoch von Melanie Hofmann fotografisch dokumentiert.
